Diversity & Inclusion

Embracing diversity within Meketa and the investment management community

Diversity and inclusion are important to Meketa internally and externally as we create a more dynamic firm and work with our clients to help them build investment programs.

Internally

Diversity is a focus of our firm; more than half of Meketa employees are women or minorities.  Additionally, over 25% of our employees are multilingual, collectively speaking 21 different languages or dialects.  We are proud of our success and remain committed to further enhancing our firm’s diversity.

We are keenly focused on the betterment of local communities. Whenever possible, we support local, family‑owned and operated, veteran-owned and operated, and minority‑owned businesses.

Externally

Meketa is committed to promoting diversity in the investment community.  In an effort to continue to expand the diversity of our clients’ investment managers, we have established an Emerging and Diverse Manager Committee, comprised of senior professionals at the firm.  The committee meets quarterly to discuss emerging and diverse investment opportunities and our clients’ initiatives in this space.

In 2017, we began hosting Emerging and Diverse Manager Research Days in an effort to broaden our exposure to small and diverse firms. We have extensive experience selecting, evaluating, and monitoring small and emerging investment managers, including women‑, minority‑, and disabled veteran‑owned firms.
