As part of our ongoing effort to deepen our coverage of emerging and diverse managers, this event gives investment managers the opportunity to introduce their firms and strategies directly to members of Meketa’s research team. Our goal is to continue identifying high-quality strategies that may reflect the evolving needs and priorities of our clients.
About the Event
Each participating manager will have a dedicated virtual meeting with a Meketa research associate, analyst, or consultant to discuss their firm, investment approach, and strategies. All meetings will be held virtually, and there is no cost to participate.
Who Is Eligible to Participate?
Meketa defines emerging and diverse managers using the following criteria:
• Public Markets: Emerging managers are firms with majority employee ownership and fewer than $2 billion in assets under management (AUM). Firms must not have exceeded $5 billion in AUM at any time or have been in business for more than 10 years.
• Hedge Funds: Emerging managers are majority-owned firms with less than $500 million in AUM. Firms must not have exceeded $1 billion in AUM at any time or have been in business for more than 10 years.
• Private Markets: Emerging managers are firms in the process of raising their first, second, or third fund.
• Diverse Managers: Meketa categorizes diverse managers as firms with majority ownership by women, minorities, and/or people with a disability. There is no limit on AUM or tenure in business for minority-, women-, and disabled-owned business enterprise (MWDBE) firms.
Managers meeting the applicable criteria and with whom Meketa’s research team has not met within the past two years are eligible to participate.
