Markets don’t stand still and neither does Meketa. Since 1978, we have evolved, and continue to do so, to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. In fact, in 2019, Meketa merged with Pension Consulting Alliance (PCA), which combined two of the industry’s most experienced and highly-regarded firms.

1970s

1978: Meketa is incorporated
1978: Meketa onboards first multi-employer client
1979: Meketa registers with the SEC
1979: Meketa onboards first corporate client

1980s

1982: Meketa onboards first healthcare client
1982: Meketa onboards first endowment client
1988: PCA is incorporated; onboards first public fund client
1989: PCA onboards first real estate client

1990s

1990: PCA opens Portland office
1993: PCA onboards first private markets client
1994: Meketa begins investing in real estate
1995: Meketa onboards first foundation client
1998: Meketa onboards first public fund client

2000s

2000: Meketa onboards first private markets specialty client
2000: PCA onboards first 529 plan client
2001: Meketa ownership is expanded to key employees
2003: Meketa begins investing in marketable alternatives
2003: Meketa opens San Diego office
2006: Meketa begins offering discretionary services
2007: PCA opens New York office
2009: Meketa onboards first fully discretionary client

2011: Meketa opens Miami office
2014: Meketa incorporates Meketa Investments London
2014: Meketa opens London office
2014: Meketa incorporates Meketa Fiduciary Management
2014: Meketa opens Portland office
2015: Jim Meketa becomes Chairman of Meketa Board of Directors
2015: Steve McCourt & Peter Woolley became Co-CEOs of Meketa
2015: Meketa onboards first financial intermediary client
2015: Meketa opens Chicago office
2018: Meketa Celebrates 40^th anniversary
2019: Meketa merges with PCA
