Mika L. Buffington

Ms. Buffington is in her seventh year at Meketa Investment Group’s San Diego office. A Senior Associate of the firm, Ms. Buffington currently works with various Taft Hartley, Corporate, and Endowment clients on both their Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans. Additionally, she is a member of the firm’s Compliance Committee and the Defined Contribution Practice Committee. Ms. Buffington is currently a CFA Level I candidate.
Prior to joining Meketa Investment Group, she was employed as a portfolio assistant in the Treasury department for Clark Construction, Inc. Ms. Buffington received an MBA from the University of San Diego, and an undergraduate degree in English, with honors, from the University of Maryland. Outside the office, Ms. Buffington is a competitive rider at hunter/jumper horse shows, and volunteers actively with organizations in the San Diego area.
